When someone tries to send a price list or a customer database to an outside personal address, the message can be blocked outright, or allowed through with a warning and a record for management to see. Can we finally switch off the old file server sitting in the corner?

We already run a Windows area in the office. Does that keep working?

Yes, the two can be joined so people use a single password for both. A small sync tool on your server copies user accounts and group memberships up to Microsoft's directory, so the password someone types to unlock their Windows machine is the same one that opens Outlook and Teams. Logon scripts, mapped drives and shared printers carry on as before while email and files move to the cloud.
